GT Advanced Technologies hat sich mit Apple auf den Verkauf der Insolvenzmasse geeinigt. Unklar bleibt allerdings weiterhin, warum der Zulieferer pleite gegangen ist – und Apple sorgt dafür, dass das auch so bleibt.  Das sagt doch schon alles!!!

   GTAT's deal with Apple secures the Company's future and sets the Company on the path to exit Chapter 11.
   In what appears to be an admission of problems at its end, Apple's claims are limited to a percentage of Mesa furnaces and primed by up to $150M of exit.
   We believe GTAT debt is a sure shot winner and the equity has a strong chance of surviving and prospering.

While the details are still in flux, we believe that GTAT will be able to land the necessary DIP financing and there will not be any significant liquidity issues. We also find it likely that the convertible debt holders will agree to reasonably amend the cross default clauses. With DIP financing, cash from sapphire boule sales from inventory, cash from percentage of Mesa equipment sales, and product sales from other GTAT products, we do not see much of a reason for GTAT to continue in bankruptcy for more than about a quarter. Once the short term issues are resolved, we predict that GTAT will exit the bankruptcy process with a healthier balance sheet. All things considered, one of the most unusual bankruptcies of our time may be coming to a rapid end.

Over the next few weeks, if GTAT can generate sufficient near term cash flow and renegotiate the cross-default clauses with the creditors amicably, which we believe is likely, we predict that the equity is likely to survive this process....

 

Wie lange dauert das in USA bis Chapter 11 genehmigt wird, in Deutschand kann das sehr lange dauern ?

bedeutet grob gesagt, dass das Unternehmen nicht komplett platt gemacht wird, sondern versucht wird den Wirtschaftsbetrieb wieder aufzunehmen. Es kann auch sein, dass hier keine wirkliche Insolvenz vorliegt, da man als Unternehmen auch den Chapter 11 anmelden kann, wenn man der Meinung ist, dass man in zukunft die Verbindlichkeiten nicht bedienen kann.

Wie schätzt ihr hier die Zukunft von GT ein ?

Die sind und bleiben immer noch Lieferant für Saphir-Glas für die iWatch, und ich denke

später auch für ein iPhone   

Kleine Teile für das iPhone 6 liefern sie ja schon, nur das mit dem Saphir-Glasabdeckung hat nicht geklappt, weil sie nicht im stande waren, diese x-Millionen-Bestellungen zu bedienen.

Von Aufträgen überfordert, ja zerquetscht zu werden, davon können andere nur träumen.

Wir werden es sehen was die Zukunft bringt. Ich kaufe bald nochmals günstig nach.

The GT Advanced Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:GTAT) mystery is being pealed back like an onion and it is starting to reek of insider trading.

The stock price of GT Advanced experienced with heavy selling volume around September 9,  the day Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) announced that it was not using the company as a supplier in their new iPhone 6 product.  Selling then exploded as the bankruptcy was publicly announced and the stock price cratered on October 6.

We now have more concrete clues as to what may have caused that selling before the bankruptcy announcement – and it appears as though the selling came from insiders on September 8 and more selling long before the bankruptcy announcement.
